Message from Veronica Estrada, PRINCIPAL

July 23, 2019

Dear Tennyson High School Families,

My name is Veronica Estrada and I am excited to write this letter to you as the principal of Tennyson High School. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year.  After finishing my first year as a principal, I realized we have many more goals to accomplish.

As a parent I find it imperative that parents are aware of what is happening at the school site. The school will be sending phone calls as well as monthly newsletters to families in order to increase the communication with all community stakeholders. One of my goals for this school year is to continue collaborating with parents, teachers, students, and the community to ensure all students succeed.  The entire staff at Tennyson High School will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests, as well as supporting their academic goals and aspirations. We will celebrate their successes, small and large, while encouraging them every day to let them know they are valued and they have a special place in our school community.

Tennyson High School will continue to use an agenda notebook. The agenda notebook will be available at the beginning of the school year and students will be expected to utilize it in all their classes. The agenda will be an excellent tool to verify and monitor the completion of your student’s classwork and homework.

In order to make this year a success we would like for you to help us with the following:

  1. Monitor your students attendance by checking Infinite Campus or calling your child’s attendance clerk.

  2. Verify the completion of students homework by checking student’s agenda notebook.

  3. Attend parent workshops to increase awareness of the school’s vision.

  4. Communicate with the school regarding any changes that might affect the student’s performance at school.

  5. Work in partnership with families, students and school staff to help students reach his/her potential.

We look forward to an excellent academic school year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Estrada
