Opportunity

This pathway is an opportunity to learn a new way of growing, distributing, preparing, eating, and selling food to create a healthier, more sustainable community for us all. If you like being outside, working with your hands, developing solutions to the world’s problems, then this is the pathway for you!

Education

Students will learn about:
- History and future of agriculture
- How to produce nutritious food
- Food safety, chemistry of our food, nutrition
- Soil science, pest control, crop management
- Environmental impact of our food system
- Business and high tech in the food system

Experience

Students will experience:
- Hands-on learning on Tennyson farm + food lab, including raising                vegetables, chickens, STEM labs, and cooking.
- Paid internship opportunities
- Interesting study trips
- Fresh food to take home to your family
- Connections to other local youth and businesses working in this field
